How do I clean my pad?
1. Take a stiff brush or curry and remove as much hair from the bottom of the pads as possible.
2. Spray with water starting from the middle of the pad and pointing towards the edge of the pad. The pad does not need to be saturated. Do not lay flat and do not spray directly into the wool. This will push the dirt and sweat farther into the wool. Conditioning your leather before washing will protect it.
3. For heavily soiled areas use a mild horse shampoo or Woolite and gently brush the bottom of the pad with soap.
4. Then hose in the same direction that you did to wet the pad.
5. Hang the pad over a railing to dry. Make sure to keep your leather conditioned.
6. NEVER FLIP YOUR PAD UPSIDE DOWN YOU CAN POP THE STITCHING ( If this happens the pads are still usable without the stitching but they will be more flexible than before due to only the leather holding the sides together)
